Did you know that the most dangerous part of the school bus ride is getting on and off the school bus?
Remember, yellow flashing lights indicate the bus is preparing to stop to load or unload children. Slow down and prepare to stop.
It is illegal in every state for a vehicle to pass a school bus while the stop arm is extended and red lights are flashing.
Stay safe, help keep our children safe!

Multilingual Learner Department’s upcoming Parent Outreach Workshop, is scheduled for Saturday, October 26 at ILHS. This workshop is designed to equip parents of ML students with the tools and information they need to support their children, particularly in navigating the challenges of adolescence.

October 21-25 is National School Bus Safety Week.
Remember that school safety starts at the bus stop. Students should arrive 5 minutes early to the bus stop, stand 5 giant steps away from the curb, and wait until the bus stops and the doors open before stepping onto the bus. Be sure the bus driver can always see you and you can see the bus driver.
