On February 5, Law Enforcement Services students received a visit from Mrs. Erin Tindal, the City of Lancaster Police Department Public Information Officer, along with Lieutenant Brandon Hinson & Sergeant Derek Willis. This was a great time to review what the students learned during the first two weeks of the 1st semester about soft skills and teamwork that’s needed in every profession, especially in law enforcement when communicating with the community. Other topics of discussion included patrolling, community policing, press conferences, press releases, law enforcement social media posts, and requirements to become a public information officer for law enforcement. Thank you officers for the time you dedicated to the students of the LCSD Career Center Law Enforcement program.
